Privacy Policy

How we handle your information.

This notice explains what personal information Al Yazia Suhail Al Nuaimi — Advocacy and Legal Consultations collects through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. It sits alongside our professional duty of confidentiality, which is wider than anything set out here.

Who we are

We are a law practice based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, providing advocacy and legal consultancy services. For anything in this notice you can reach us at info@alyazialaw.ae or on +971 3 734 8267.

Information we collect

When you send an enquiry or book a consultation, we collect the details you give us: your name, email address, telephone number and whatever you choose to tell us about your matter. When you simply browse the site, we collect limited technical information such as your device type, browser, approximate location and the pages you viewed. If you go on to instruct us, we will collect the identification documents and case material the engagement requires.

How we use it

We use your information to answer your enquiry, to run the conflict and identification checks we are required to carry out before accepting instructions, to provide and administer legal services, to meet our regulatory and anti-money-laundering obligations, and to keep the website secure and working properly. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Our basis for using it

We rely on your consent when you contact us voluntarily, on the performance of our engagement once you become a client, on our legal and regulatory obligations, and on our legitimate interest in running and protecting the practice. Where the law requires your explicit consent, we will ask for it and you may withdraw it at any time.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses a small number of cookies that are necessary for it to function, and may use analytics to understand which pages are read and where visitors arrive from. Analytics data is aggregated and is not used to identify you. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may then not work as intended.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only where it is necessary: with the courts, authorities, opposing parties and experts involved in your matter and only as your instructions or the law require; with the service providers who host this website, deliver our email and maintain our systems, under confidentiality obligations; and where disclosure is required by law or by a regulator. We never share client information for marketing purposes.

Transfers outside the UAE

Some of the providers who host our website and email operate servers outside the United Arab Emirates. Where information is transferred abroad we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected to a standard consistent with UAE data protection law.

Keeping it secure

We use technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, and access within the practice is limited to those who need it for your matter. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send us sensitive documents by email until we have agreed a secure route with you.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are kept only as long as needed to deal with them and to check for future conflicts. Client files are retained for the period required by UAE law and by our professional obligations, after which they are securely destroyed.

Your rights

Subject to the limits the law places on them, you may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, ask for it in a portable form, and withdraw any consent you have given. Some of these rights are limited where we are required to retain records or where the information is covered by legal professional privilege. Write to info@alyazialaw.ae and we will respond within the period the law allows.

Other websites

Where this site links to another website, that site has its own privacy practices and we are not responsible for them. Please read their notice before giving them your information.

Children

This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information about anyone under eighteen through it. Where a matter concerns a minor, their information is provided to us by a parent or guardian in the course of the engagement.
